The spoken word thing (see this here has been fun, so far. Need more o that, also. I'm told I sound just like NPR. Of course, hulver sounds much like Neil Gaiman to me, so there.
On the way in this morning, the random, senseless, carpool banter was informed in part by a bumper sticker on the car ahead: "Drama Queen On Board." We went from there to theater groups, packed with Queens of both sexes. The only requirement is an ability to emote.
"Emote," said I, half a block later, "is in the eye of the beholder."
What else? Busy week, more or less. Dinner tonight with some of the husi gang at Redbones. A real-life nano handover is planned (as in, dead trees into living hands). Puppies seem to be behaving, though it's still important never to let Rusti out of our sight, or she'll poop on the floor.
So on the weekend I finally loaded up Logic Express 8.01 on my iBook. It immediately demanded more memory (I have "only" 3/4 of a Gig), but I ignored it. Now to work through the tutorial, and find a project to do. Should be fun. It's been too long since I tried recording music.
Speaking of music, we're now T minus 5 rehearsals from the coro concert in May. It's not coming together very well. And I'm thinkin I prolly won't be back next fall. I'm trying pretty hard not to be annoyed by the cocker-spaniel personality (lots of enthusiasm, but can't remember what she said 5 minutes ago) of the director.
