we found a whole bunch of prairie dogs!
or, you know, richardson's ground squirrels. they ran across the grass, they scurried, they stood up on their hind legs, they eyed us disapprovingly and they made little squeaky noises, and they dove down their holes. it was amazing and delightful. i laughed and laughed. i took lots of pictures.
here is the best one, it's m-h watching a baby one.
